Dance Company Wins Gold at the Starbound Dance Competition
The competition was November 13 and 14 at Higley Center for the Performing Arts in Gilbert. We competed against all studios/ studio dancers from the Valley. So, almost all of the other dancers take dance class outside of school for several hours a day. The FHHS girls were quite nervous but had a lot of fun and felt good about their accomplishments. I think that in the future they will be even better because they will know what to expect. We are going to enter State Competition in March and probably one more.
The FHHS Dance Company went to Starbound Talent competition this weekend and won two gold medals for the dances “Goodbye” choreographed by Sarah Ferrato and “Boston” choreographed by Leslie Breen. The girls also won the Judges Award for “Most Energetic” out of the whole senior (ages 13 and up) category for “Goodbye”!
This is so great! We are excited. The trophies and plaque are in the main office!
